Galway Community Pride AGM Wednesday, January 18th Galway Community Pride AGM Wednesday, January 18th 2023 - 8pm Aras na nGael, Dominick St | Zoom We will elect a new committee, all committee positions are available. For those joining us online, we would like to request that you message us directly on our social media for the Zoom link.
The Galway Community Pride AGM on the 20th has bee The Galway Community Pride AGM on the 20th has been cancelled. A variety of reasons have lead to this decision, those primarily being 1. The closeness to Christmas & the community's concerns about it. 2. The current committee has no access to the bank so obtaining a treasurers report and being able to audit accounts has not been possible We will reschedule an AGM in the New Year at a more accessible time for all.
There have been some queries over the fact the AGM There have been some queries over the fact the AGM is so close to Christmas so we would like to make a post clarifying why. Both our Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson have stepped down for personal reasons, as per the constitution, when a named role steps down an EGM must be called at the earliest convenience. Because our current committee is an interim committee we believe an AGM would be better in this circumstance. Waiting until the New Year would mean we are doing both the community and the current committee a disservice.
