What We Do
Since 1989, Galway Community Pride has been a staple for LGBTQ+ people across the city, county and country.
Our Mission
Galway Community Pride / Bród Pobail na Gaillimhe is organized by a community-elected committee of volunteers to represent and advocate for the needs of the diverse LGBTI+ community in Galway city and county.
Galway Community Pride / Bród Pobail na Gaillimhe offers an opportunity for LGBTI+ people and their allies to celebrate the richness in our diversity through social gatherings, events, and opportunities to connect, engage and deepen a greater sense of community amongst our peers.
The LGBTI+ Community faces multiple layers and experiences of oppression and
discrimination on a daily basis within Irish society, and on a global scale. The strength and solidarity offered by the Galway Community Pride Festival / Bród Pobail na Gaillimhe offers a unique opportunity for LGBTI+ people to feel safe, supported, and connected in Galway.
Our Vision
The Galway Community Pride Committee aims to reflect the diversity within the LGBTQ+ community by encouraging positive participation from the community in the Pride committee and through regular events.
To ensure the committee reflects the LGBT+ community, works in an effective manner and is both transparent and accountable.
To organise an accessible and safe Galway Community Pride.
To source funding for the future development of Galway Community Pride through grant applications and fundraising events.
To highlight issues relevant to the LGBT+ community through the Galway Community Pride committee.
